Stop thinking that there will be some politician that will save you. I will only have faith in politicians when one of them actually exposes conspiracies (like 9/11 and the fake moon landings) to the public. Until then, fuck politics.
They don’t hold up today for what we’d want, policy wise, but the Internet wasn’t ubiquitous back then. The paradigm was completely different, in the average person’s ability to discern propaganda.
Not saying I want to go back to the 90’s and 2000’s, but it’s just not true to say that everyone was disengaged from politicians until Trump came along. It was more like, Obama was idolized as the next FDR, Republicans were losing the propaganda battle, and then Trump came at the same time people were losing faith in the GOP.
