Pirating Sonic Adventure 2 Battle GameCube ISO because the version I paid $10 for on Steam doesn't work right and keeps crashing.
>gamecube port
just get the Dreamcast version then dude haha
@olmitch Dreamcast emulators are bad because people don't care about Dreamcast. Dolphin is top tier.
@alex @olmitch no, they're actually bad bc the dreamcast is a horrid mess of pre standard 3d hardware and technical debt, the saturn is the same but even worse
God, the console wars were such an insane time. These companies kept pulling these generation defining technologies out of a hat and selling them for insane losses. A time when a toy was more powerful than the computer on your desk at work. When the PS3 came out with the CELL and completely dominated Folding@Home, it was like witnessing alien technology

>However, the success of the Dreamcast meant that the PC variant, sold as Neon 250, appeared a year late to the market, in late 1999. The Neon 250 was nevertheless competitive with the RIVA TNT2 and Voodoo3.[12] The Neon 250 features inferior hardware specifications compared to the PowerVR2 part used in Dreamcast, such as a halved tile size, among others.
@xianc78 @alex @olmitch by "pre standard", I mean pre T&L pre-OpenGL pre-DirectX pre-Nvidia stuff, PowerVR exposed their own APIs and expected PC devs to use them, just like every other graphics card vendor at the time, GameCube by contrast was basically a prototype for the *very* popular and standard R300 cards ATI put out not long after the GameCube came out
