@PurpCat @xianc78 a good number of people probably have hardware powerful enough to run local ai (gaming laptops, desktops, and macbooks)
Yes, it's just the issue of a lot of the pro-AI community seeming over-reliant on things in a mantra of "oh, stop making it difficult for yourself, just use Google Colab", or other hosted options, seeing zero risk in any of it, expecting it all to always be free, and only writing guides reliant on said hosted services, instead of guides of doing things completely standalone, such as training LoRAs, etc.
