Do/should parents have authority over their children even when they're adults/have moved out?

@xianc78 Parents loosing authority around 18-21 is the best option. By then, if the parents did their job well, then 99% of the time they'll still spend time with them and respect them. If not, then the kid is given the option to try and repair things later on as an adult, or if it was bad enough, outright stay away from them. A bond maintained or repaired without being forced is 10 times stronger
