@xianc78 idek where it came from that he's even close to the worst. he needs to get his head out of the sand over some of his technical opinions, he needs to shut up entirely about sociopolitical bullshit, but he's a "good" developer who has come out with decent software. just not the best, and his ego can stand to be chipped away considerably

Or at least keep it separate from his software development and FOSS advocacy.
Say what you want about Richard Stallman, but at least he knew to keep his free software activism separate from his other activism. Drew Devault doesn't seem to think that way. If your project accepts crypto donations, to him you are some evil anarcho-capitalist and a climate denier.
plus the shit against rms is just pathetic shit-slinging. i would never reserve any part of my own blog to talk against *anyone* no matter how right i think i am. callouts are a blow below the belt.
