Now that PewDiePie has made Linux mainstream. I now feel comfortable about never porting my games to Windows.

@xianc78 Would be funny if the last ingredient to the year of the Linux desktop was an obnoxious gaming influencer

@vokainen099 I just think the past few years have been a major catalyst. The whole "you will own nothing" narrative, Windows 11 integrating AI into the OS along with their cloud-only version, and the Steam Deck making more game developers take Linux seriously.

It's not just PewDiePie. SomeOrdinaryGamer started to use Linux more and he was someone who has called Linux users "the vegans of computer users" for years.

Gamers are probably the biggest group of computer users who actually care about digital rights, outside of freetards because they know firsthand what it is like to be mistreated by big tech corporations. After the fiasco with Stadia and before that, OnLive, they probably saw the writing on the wall with Windows 365 Link.

My game is Linux-first. The Windows port comes later.

@xianc78 is this finally the year of the linux desktop?
@Nepiant @xianc78 it always was, time to jump ship to BSD because linux becomes too popular :sadlion:
