Well it looks like 8chan.moe is also down, possibly due to 4chan anons seeking refuge. I haven't seen the full details of the 4chan leaks, but it makes me wonder if it's bad enough that 8chan will make a comeback, even though not in it's original form.
@xianc78 4chan being down is making people post elsewhere. Even kf being down for a month did the same thing.
@PurpCat 4chan isn't just down. There have also been leaks about the site running on outdated software, having trannies and college professors moderating the place, etc. I don't know the full extent of it though.
@xianc78 The reason they got hacked btw was the ghostscript parser was some old ass version from 2012 with some serious security holes that allowed code execution, according to the hacker.
The bots and third worlders who keep 4chan going will come back, but the site being down has a far greater impact than just some leaks.
