Public information that is independently verifiable, ask someone else: Opal was opposed to the removal of CP from FSE and constantly complained if I did that, if I told pedophiles to kill themselves (something she told other people to do every damn day, but pedophiles are a protected class) or used the terms "chomos" or "diaper snipers", and was very insistent that the spelling "paedophile" is preferred. Opal was open about having participated in "CP raids" of imageboards/forums (i.e., people attempting to get a site taken down by spamming CP) back in the day. A large number of people kicked from NNIA went to anime.website. Pedophiles started posting child models on anime.website, Opal screeched at the people that deactivated those accounts. Opal at some point declared that she would not remove anything, even CP, until specifically directed by a court order, and immediately "WorldMAP" (already deactivated on FSE) started posting hardcore child rape/bondage; after a day or two, she removed the images and announced that she was going to let the anime.website domain expire. A youjo.love user claims that, when challenged by Opal on whether he was actually a pedophile or not, he sent Opal a photo of himself giving the thumbs-up next to his screen, which was displaying child pornography; whatever was done with that image, it is a really fucking strange thing to demand that someone prove they're a pedophile.

You can draw whatever conclusions you want from that. That's all independently verifiable information, so don't ask me. I do not wish to talk about pedophiles for the nth consecutive day.

Either I'm missing something you're talking about or you've confused two or three things that I was talking about with Pawoo.

I don't know why you're talking about Pawoo; anime.website absolutely was people that lived on that instance and were happy with that instance, not doing an attack, but Opal declared it open season and the guy that posted semi-nude kids started posting hardcore CP. Separate thing, Opal participated in CP raids; that wasn't on fedi (as far as I know).

Whether or not there are pedos hiding out on Pawoo (there are, but there are about a million people on there anyway: https://fedilist.com/instance/pawoo.net ), there absolutely have been attacks from outside Pawoo using Pawoo. There have been plenty of attempts, the biggest one being the guy with the CP avatars that spammed other instances. The MRF in question just ignored Like activities from Pawoo users that had no public posts. The attack was pretty clever: he put CP in his avatar and then spammed Like activities, and no one on the server noticed it because Likes don't show up on the timeline, but people on other servers saw CP-spam from Pawoo. A lot of people blocked Pawoo as a result of that and FSE never had to.

There are terms that they do not like and "pediverse" is not just a term they like, but a term the pedos came up with. I don't think it's the term we should be using, and I don't want to treat the woodchipper-fodder instances as a fixture in the network. The sooner they become afraid of federating with the rest of us, the sooner they move to whitelist federation and they're gone.
