I am really growing tired of online political discussions and debates from all sides. It really seems like nobody wants to solve the world's problems. They just want to pick whatever side they think is edgy or cool and make lolcows out of anyone they disagree with.

@xianc78 Same boomer slop happens through legacy media where they fling mud at each other in the hope something sticks.

The Overton window has shifted compared to twenty years ago. We can talk about remigration without it looking extreme. We have the data that suggests immigration is a women's safety issue. We are slowly learning not to freeze in the headlights of someone who deems us racist, in some cases embracing the accusation because of how meaningless it has become.

We have to move on from talking points like 'x are the real racists' that offer nothing valuable or constructive. Instead we have to lay out what we plan to change, how and why, rather than piecemeal issues that bug us depending on how recently it was last mentioned.

I personally would like to see a great repeal of Tony Blair's legacy since 1997, undoing the bureaucracy of quangos that have hamstrung governments. I would also like the 1965 Race Relations Act and the 1948 British Nationality Act to be repealed, as they have led to countless pro-bono human rights lawyers jumping in to defend the indefensible. The latter is responsible for Windrush turning up at our shores. Around 500,000 people who came to the UK that Clement Attlee, a Labour Prime Minister, was trying to make sure didn't land. The revisionist lies that Windrush, which would have accounted for less than 1% of the country's population, somehow rebuilt Britain after the war is based on this event.

I believe we need to restore what has been lost over these past several decades. Progress for the sake of progress, not knowing what it looks like, has led to long marches through our institutions by people who seek to destroy us and what we stand for. The petty squabbles online and through legacy media do not shift the conversation forward. Ragebaiting headlines do nothing to improve people's understanding of what is wrong and what needs fixing.

This is our civilisational winter. Whether we make it through the other side is up to us.
