It seems like there is no rock bottom with this guy. Even after having his embarrassing Reddit history exposed and being exposed as the man behind The Stallman Report, he only doubled down. He added all of this (minus the Luigi sprite, which has been there for a while) to his blog's bio section shortly after the Charlie Kirk assassination, and Antifa being declared a terrorist organization, by the way.

@icedquinn @xianc78 they are politicians, of course they have not a single clue what they are talking about! :)
if it makes people seethe who wanted me violated for not getting injections, who started multiple cancel campaigns against innocent people with cancer, i'll enjoy the show though - things are going to shit anyway.

@xianc78@gameliberty.club can you give me some context on the guy? i take that he's one of the most disliked githubers and he doesblook like a jerk, but what exactly is the issue?
@_anti That's Drew DeVault. He is the author of a popular window manager for Wayland known as Sway, along with running SourceHut, a GitHub alternative.
However, he is mostly known for being extremely opinionated and shoving his far-left politics into everything. For example, on his SourceHut service, the TOS basically requires you to denounce right-wing beliefs and prohibits crypto related projects. His blog is full of opinionated articles regarding FOSS and they are often very political and very far-left.
He was one of the people who tried to cancel Stallman and even tried to anonymously create The Stallman Report website, but everyone knew that he was behind it. He wanted Stallman to be replaced with either a POC or someone in the LGBT community. That should show you what he is like. He also tried to cancel someone creating another Wayland window manager known as Hyprland because the Discord server allowed locker room behavior and Drew thought it was transphobic.
Even outside of his politics, he is very closed-minded and has little tolerance for other people's opinions. He puts people who still insist on X11 on the same level as flat-earther's and anti-vaxxers for one. He also used to run a Gemini server and blocked any client that made favicon requests because he believed that it shouldn't be in the protocol.
If you want to know the full details on Drew DeVault, I highly recommend reading the OP on the KiwiFarms thread about him.

TL;DR he is a prime example of the cancer that is killing FOSS from within. He shoves far-left sociopolitical commentary into everything and labels anyone that disagrees with him as the enemy that must be purged. He wants the entire FOSS community to cater to his narrow worldview and will go out of his way to cancel anyone who stands against it or is neutral towards it, including someone like Richard Stallman.

What a fucking loser. Some leftists are just that insufferable I suppose, they don't even stop to think that others may have different opinions while they are the ones who use the "But how do you know if your religion is right if you could've been born in another continent and be X?" argument the most.
I think even a lot of right wingers (think of Yarvin's sense of the word: right wing is nothing but the absence of progressivism/communism/left) can see where the altruistic aspirations (even if on the left it ends up as self serving) come from and can sympathize with the idea of making the world better for everyone (although leftists are often seriously misguided on how to achieve this), but these days leftists have caricatured and misrepresented what the right is a lot more than the other way around.
Leftists usually are very dismissive towards anything old or traditional and generally more willing to accept anything new, in a sort of positivist way in which they presuppose only progress is possible, and this could be true in the very long (milennia) run but certainly on closer time scales things can get real shitty. Even though they are right to point out that old models suck and don't work in many ways, they often fail to see how new models may be fucking us up big time, way more than the old models could, and often dismiss the virtues that do exist in previous ways of organizing society as inherently bad bc they aren't willing to separate the good from the bad. It's way easier to equate old with bad and new with good, so in they end up thinking about a lot of things this way, forgetting that new can also mean worse, and even much much worse.
In this sense, lately I tend to agree with Yarvin's take that the left in so called political spectrum is in reality a bubble with communism/leftism on the inside and everything else on the outside. I have to forgive the lefty sentiment somewhat bc they do point out that something ought to be done so that different sorts of humans (sexes, ethnicities, cultures, religions, etc.) get along better while rightists are more self centered I think. But this mostly makes rightists more honest to their true motivations and leftists end up exoticizing other people rather than helping them, that and taking up a condescending "saviour" role and some pretty schizoid (in the worst sense) world visions, such as the whole transgenderism delusion.
TL;DR yeah leftists have been getting very schizoid (in the bad sense) lately
Anyway, thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
@xianc78 if the antifa ban goes through in NL we are in for some 🍿 times with drew.
