I honestly get more upset when I see unironic Apple shills on my timeline than racist chuds or whatever.

But then again, >mastodon
Still sad though, and there are few more like this retard
@Pi_rat @9to5Mac @SuperDicq im pretty sure thats less of an unironic apple shill and more of some small time magazine that nobody cares about that decided to get an account on mastodon cuz it was the talk of the town on twitter
why does it have 26k followers though
@lina @9to5Mac @SuperDicq

I am always surprised to see 100s of boosts and likes on other side of wall occasionally when I venture over there. What would be "viral" here is just everyday post with 20 boosts.

@Pi_rat@freesoftwareextremist.com @lina@eientei.org @9to5Mac@mastodon.online On mainstream social media there's 50 times more lurkers than actual participants.

Most normies are just fucking addicted to scrolling their timeline and don't actually post anything ever.

That's also why normies believe in this "dead internet theory" bullshit conspiracy.

The internet is very much alive, but only in places where people do not have brainrot and actually want to actively participate in the discussion like here on the Fediverse.

@SuperDicq @lina @9to5Mac @Pi_rat I think the bigger problem is that people feel Some Type Of Way online as well. People are either nodding out, or in their own Discord groups, giving you the cold shoulder, only talking to a few people, etc. Or worse; you get people who will blow up on you if you interact with them.

Internet artists get few interactions now because talking to them is like posting on e621, it's a roulette of getting blocked or the artist ragequitting social media because of you.

@PurpCat@clubcyberia.co @lina@eientei.org @9to5Mac@mastodon.online @Pi_rat@freesoftwareextremist.com Not gonna a lie a lot of artists would avoid 90% of the bullshit if they deleted their shit ass Twitter account and went over to fedi.

@SuperDicq @lina @9to5Mac @PurpCat @Pi_rat Let's see here. You are going to have one side tell them to say TND and the other side scolding them for not putting descriptive enough alt-text on their art.

@SuperDicq @lina @9to5Mac @PurpCat @Pi_rat Honestly due to the "magazine" design of the web, I don't think it is really usable for screenreaders even if you put alt-text on all images. Gopher or Gemini would be better suited for those purposes.
