why do people take social media so seriously? it's either chuds/commies losing their shit at a disagreement or someone existing in a category they don't like, or it's the average user seeing things that upset them 20 times a day and getting super depressed and still refusing to log off and touch grass. like holy shit bro, none of this is real, none of this matters, why are you taking any of this to heart? why so angry all the time? the internet is for having fun, chatting, being creative, and fucking around, none of it fucking matters this is not real life

@ube Because political/philosophical discussions no longer happen in "containment zones". I still remember forums and a lot of forums had subforums dedicated to heated discussions and anyone who was willing to participate was expected to come with an open mind and anyone who didn't wish to participate could enjoy the rest of the forum.

Now everyone is expected to pick a side or at least pretend to and politics is no longer contained to a certain section but is lumped with everything else. Everyone comes across it whether you like it or not.
