Was reading a pirated epub of "The Lost World", which is the sequel to "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton. Some surprising prescience was exhibited. The internet and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

The Internet is a weird construct in this. On one hand you have half the world population sucking the same trash and this is the "McD's on every corner" thing the text. But now you are able to distinguish people from the sites they visit by their argument, phrasing, words they use. You can tell if somebody is from Facebook, Reddit or 4chan for example based on the level and type of retardation they are inflicted with. In the same way these large platforms are bad for diversity.
