As my ISP XS4ALL slowly gets sucked up into it's parent company KPN, today I received a fiber connection with a speed upgrade as my old VDSL will be terminated. All without extra charge (so far).
Going from about 60 Mbps down (was supposed to be 100 Mbps), 12 Mbps up to a full 200 Mbps down and 230 Mbps up is quite a different experience. First time I'm not complaining. Also the first time I've ever seen a higher upload speed than download. Almost weird.

In name they are still alive as an ISP but literally everything has transformed into KPN now. It was their network to start with. That Freedom spinoff never came into existence as far as I know.
