I would like to think that I am a reasonable man. That I give her shit when she does or says something stupid, and I applaud her when she says something sane or smart.

If you looked at the 1st chamber results in which FvD made massive gains and look at the map, Amsterdam and the area surrounding it is just all Groen Links. So I get why she is the mayor.

Although, who votes here in Amsterdam, unless there is a lot of gibs going on I doubt various muslims wouldn't vote, not for her at least. The working class, maybe. Because gibs? The ton of expats that cannot vote? This leaves like edgy boys like me who are politically insignificant and finally the cosmopolitan anywhere champagne socialists (and expats that can vote). At times I do wonder if people who have no regard for the country, city, its customs and cultures they reside deserve the right to vote.

It is rather silly this. All the riches that may have been made are now nothing more than a bunch of UNESCO buildings, anything else are either stolen by the French or the Germans when they conquered this strip of swamp. Generally speaking nobody who is born and raised like myself in Amsterdam ever profited of slavery, participated in any meaningful way and like any other westerner is vehemently opposed to it. So trying to guilt trip me into something that is essentially imported US cultural problems isn't going to fly with me.
