@beardalaxy thoughts on metal gear as a series? For me it's a tough call, enjoyable and stressful/annoying is a fine line. There's elements I like about them all, but the first 2d ones were much more gamelike, 1 was way too unintuitive for most players, 2 as well, 3 fixes this I think, and 4 I haven't played but it looks very good, V and GZ are really fun, and mix a great story in visually, actually beautiful at moments. V could have been a perfect game if they had made a few different choices in dev. Like have shit actually happening in your open world Kojima. Events, encounters, there's nothing. Very disappointing.
@Jazzy_Butts the only one i actually like is metal gear rising. i'm not a big kojima fan (he's been trying to make video games into movies way too hard and being really pretentious about it) and i don't like stealth gameplay.
i do like the overall story of metal gear though, and there are some really good codec call moments (none of which were written by kojima, fun fact).
the problems that MGS V has are elevated tenfold with Death Stranding and you can see why kojima had so many issues working with konami. he's a "creative visionary" that needs more structure and opposition.
i'm still kind of salty that even when ps3 players successfully denuclearized the game, more nukes were artificially put there. that's pretentious bullshit.
