@Jazzy_Butts It might be that you're actually good at lying itself, you just aren't good at switching between lying and truthing. So you do well in situations where you're lying from the get-go, like storytelling, and well in situations where you don't need to lie at all, but bad in situations where you need to switch on the spot, like practical lying IRL, especially the white lies you're supposed to do to be polite. That sound about right?
@Sudodeme I've been practicing recently, I got the idea from watching Norm MacDonald, I'll start bullshitting a person about some historical figure that I just made up, and then they'll be invested and I end it right away so I don't feel bad. Mid description I'll just say "I made all that up". We usually have a good laugh, had one person get butthurt about it once but they just squirmed they didn't say anything confrontational.
@Sudodeme Example: Hey did you hear about that guy Jimmy Hawk? No? Oh, well there was a meme about him and tony hawk because of his last name but they're not related, anyway, he made this new kind of shoe but apparently the leather he uses is from an endangered or threatened I guess, whatever the term is, kind of anteater. Yea the deciduous biurnal anteater, it's in south america or something.
And it can go on indefinitely really. But I would feel bad if I dragged it out too long.
@Sudodeme I try to keep it lighter than Richard Clock
