@holot @matrix Nah... That prety much means being a human being.
Of corse every "political side" has both strawmens and crazies, but that does not change the fact, that they seem to be based uppon different moral foundations.
For me, the primary moral foundation is freedom to get a happy life for yourself. That means, that when some lefties say that "gay rights are a only-left problem", they are plain wrong. But I am not a leftie, because the rest of BS they want is tyranical according to my moral bases.

I have also now realized, I did not manage to cover where I am comming from.
I have heard HUNDEREDS of times some people do these "centrist behaviours", that made any conversation 100% useless.
1) "deh truth is in the middle"
Just immagine you are debating: Theft, racism... prety much anything. There is always this one guy who says the line no matter how little sence it makes.
Did you steal? You say no, shop keeper says yes... There will be this ONE GUY who says you stole a little.
But that's not all, since the moment this line is dropped, not only noone will listen to your position because it's too extreme. And no matter how many people are around, noone realizes, that this argument solves nothing, they will start repeating it instead.
2) I agree with you, but.
This one is even worse. No matter what you say, once a person says this, you know he is not listening to your argument, since they will pretend to agree with you while saying the polar opposite.
But the worst part about this one is the fact that people who say this one have no idea what they are saying. They truly believe that they do agree just because they never spent enough time to realize what they actually believe, but they heard a nice sounding line, so of corse they do agree with it...
