@Countermeasures Yeah, it's interesting observations, I think the main part that I have a disagreement with is cause and effect. "There is a problem" is an evaluation of an effect (that is, it's not objective), "these people have caused the problem" is insistence on that single explanation (that it's intentional, that they've identified the responsible parties, and that those parties did so in order to achieve that end) and finally that their evidence is so scant that all they can do is shout it at everyone and stonewall any other interpretation of the thing. So I disagree with this bit:
> However, when they *nearly all* say the *same things* about the *same groups*, this is a clue that there is a real problem in the society that needs to be addressed
Even in the case that they've identified a real problem, they may not have correctly identified the source. It's possible for a unanimous vote of the entire populace to be wrong, and to stay wrong for centuries, especially when it comes to who to blame for a problem. This guy's never in his life met a pornographer, he's just seen the ends of the long chain of people repeating a few very small sources and covering some very narrow things. They're being fed the same way everyone else is, the same way you and I are, everything we haven't seen directly, every piece of information back to one small group, he's just getting the trickle-down from a different set of small groups than most other people are: they didn't "notice" anything, they read DS, which gets its information from elsewhere, all the way up the chain, to someone deciding which stories to push. It's not an accident all of these journos declared the Boulder shooter to be some white incel, they're being fed by different sources.
This is why I keep talking about keeping your eyes open, we're all wrong about half the things we think, you've got to keep that in mind all the time and keep your eyes open. Every time you are surprised, you were wrong, and the explanation of the world that you were using is just one of many possible explanations of the facts that you know. Rushing to blame someone or something is just deciding that there's exactly one explanation for what people tell you that you've seen, and confirmation bias takes over from there. People with this "the Jews did it" mentality have decided on one explanation (an explanation that looks wrong to me); they are unwilling to consider other explanations, and they don't want anyone else to, they're always repeating these stupid slogans to keep people from thinking. It's the same disgusting pattern as communists or anyone else that wants to take control out of your hands and push the ideology that they've become useful idiots for, they're not even thinking for themselves, it's like a botnet. (This is why I kind of like Judge Dread's "meme malware" idea, but I wish he did a better job of explaining it, because I didn't have a clue what the hell he meant for at least a year after I first heard it.)
Anyway, it's depressing to see someone surrender their mind like that, and then try to push it on other people.
