I heard this claim recently:
Star Wars fans would love to live in star wars galaxy.
Where? On the enslaved industrial planets? On the planets ruled by Drug Cartels? Or in the "civilized" words, where you are taxed so hard, you can barely afford food, rent and a hower bike?
Oh... They mean they would happen to be 1 in 1 000 000 000 people born to be force sensitive, Would happen to be found by the Order... and live as a war monk? WTF??? I hate "star wars fans". And by that, I mean normies.
@LukeAlmighty Honestly, in the Star Wars galaxy, it would probably be easy to find some remote planet far from anyone's control and have declare your independence.
@xianc78
Yes... All you need is about 400 years of hard work to afford a single seat space ship.
Or... make a deal with local Hutt...
@pinemarten
Not only that, but these guys don't even realize what a horrible curse being a Jedi actually is.
Your mental state is reflected in the environment around you. If you are unable to keep a monk life, it can cause entire planet to become sick. People around you angry and trecherous. Your pain destroys the life itself.
Every negative thought you have becomes a feedback loop. In the same way as humans can be adicted to heroin, every force sensitive is adicted to evil.
Now, if that isn't enough, there is also the pressure of being the most valuable asset on the planet. Try keeping your calm, when everyone knows you DO have the power to kill off all the criminals. And you do know it too. And most importantly, all the bounty hunters know it
And I would forget... You live in a galaxy, where GOD HIMSELF is pushing for an infinite war... And you as a jedi are his favorite pawn. Just saying.
Yeah... such a great life.
In star wars, both sides had broken Geneva convention so many times, there was even a great joke about it in unreleased episode....
