I heard way too many times: "but that's not happening" followed by "but that's just how things are" one year later . Well, it took me years to realize, that they realy lack the ability to understant hypotheticals or trends.
They can, but it takes time. The guy that started the whole "god hates fags" thing kind of changed his mind eventually, only for his congregation to blow him the fuck out.
