@dave well white people in general made "suburbia" better than "urban" but I do agree we need to have some understanding of farming to make this kind of move worth our while

Suburbans do NOT need subsidies for shit.
They generate food, and food is a commodity without flexible demand.
That means, that they can sell food for whateverthefuck they want.
The fact, we pay them through subsidies instead of directly is just another government cope trying to justify its existence.
@LukeAlmighty @Someguy @dave I think farming is in a bad way, you need government subsidies because, unlike in the old days, modern farmers go to school to learn all the machines and consumable products that you HAVE to have in order to farm.
The result of these educations? A majority of the farms went from being family owned to corporate owned over the last 100 years. I think they set the farmers up for expensive failure, and then bought them out at a discount.
