While I was playing Breath of the wild, I seriously had to use Google. and it was BULLSHIT!!!
When the game starts, it teaches you, that when traveling to cold areas, you need food. So, when I traveled to the vulcano, I knew what had to be done.
Crafting a 100 percent fire protection food did nothing. I seriously felt cheated.
@LukeAlmighty food will get you out of the desert, but not the volcano. Similarly, it will get you out of colder areas, but not the freezing mountain tops in hebra (I think that's what it's called). It's progression, different tiers of temperature.
