I have the same opinion about the famous rule:
"never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
And I realized, just how bad it is, when I was talking about JFK assassination, and the guy said: FBI tried to get him killed, so they would have an amazing arrest on their hands, and they had just fucked up the arrest part.
This guy literally assumed stupidity as an explanation of an arranged murder.

That is not the point that will change his mind.
Because the entire topic is closed to him already. For him, conspiracies mean "the chip", so of course he knows about the phone. But that doesn't change anything, since in his mind, all conspiracies are the same.

They've got no answer. Why not: "never attribute to stupidity that which is adequately explained by malice." It sounds just as good. They give no reason, they just say it and expect you to think it's true.
