I think you're underestimating just how brutal the messaging is even on the most brainwashed of us.
I used to be like that too, but DePaul attack on Milo crossed the line for me. That broke every single rule I believed to be true at the time.
And that was before BLM. Before Chaz. Before Affirmative action got to this level.

Even people who are on the edge of SJW cringe do have a breaking point moments.
