@LukeAlmighty the two times i've been to comic con have been pretty worthless tbh. you just pay money to go and pay more money for stuff you didn't know you wanted until you walked into the building. i wouldn't pay to go to a farmer's market, but the fact that there is nerdy stuff and a bunch of people cosplaying means i have to cough up like $30? it would be more worth it if there was someone there i wanted to see talk about something, like idk maybe seeing someone like dylan cuthbert talking about star fox or whatever. but then you have to pay extra for the pass to even see the panels, and then pay for the signature, and the meet & greet, etc...

it all just seems like kind of waste to me, personally. the thing it is really good for is centralizing a lot of people you might already be friends with into one location for you all to meet up and chat so that's kind of nice i guess.

if i were more into actually buying comics, especially something like the indie scene, then it would be better to go to i'd assume, but that's pretty far out of my realm.
