I don't mind atmospheric model, but this is just retarded.
There is no reason to get so close...
@NEETzsche @BlinkRape
I don't watch it either, but I get your point.
I had a similar feeling, when parent's watched some drama TV, and I thought: "All of these people are assholes, I want them all to die. Why should I care who dates who?"
It was quite an interesting feeling of dis-asociation with the entire concept
But yes, I LOVE a good action, but in back of my head, there are hundreds of logystics calculations. And it's scenes like this that don't even try, that destroy the illusion completely. Most likely, because the Disney writers see only "pew pew" too.
@NEETzsche @BlinkRape
Yes.
And that is my entire complain.
A writer of a sci-fi world not thinking of realism is like a painter not thinking of shadows or composition.
@NEETzsche @BlinkRape
But the issue remains. Worldbuilding rules are one of the toold needed to achieve the result.
It's just one step, that is ignored much easier then special effects, sound, composition etc. But it has the same effect.
@NEETzsche @BlinkRape
I absolutely agree with you there.
I feel like the works of fiction that I put out in my stupid magazine have more soul, which is saying something because I openly use AI to help me generate the content. I just have a vision of what I think it should be and I get the AI and automate away the drudgery.
