He's not joking in the tirle.
They just retconed the core principle of how the force works. Yes, anyone can be a Jedi now.
So, there is nothing left of the original structure. It's all just a good looking pixels of pew pew pew now.
@NEETzsche
The force was in all living creatures. It is part of the universe itself, terefore, it does affect the universe as a whole.
But, most people don't know about it. They don't feel the force, since they are missing the talent. (In EP.1 it's revieled, that this talent can be measured. That pissed of some @icedquinn , but didn't change the fact.)
[ALSO, NOONE SAID THE MIDICHLORIANS CAUSE THE MANIPULATION, ONLY, THAT THERE IS A DIRECT CORELATION]
So, if you are 1/ 1 000 000 people born with some sensitivity, you will have a better luck, since some kind of your mind can feel it, but that is not enough to be a jedi. It just makes you a character like Han Solo, who "just happen to" be impossibly talented.
But, if you are 1/ 1 000 000 000, you can be trained to feel the force consciously. And, after several years, you can start affecting the world around you.
So, that are the rules as far as I understand them. It takes decades to be a Jedi, who can actually do the things we see in the movies.... Until Disney bought the series, and made it so, that untrained person can do whatever the fuck they want if they are sensitive.
And now, they are making the sensitivity optional too, because why the fuck no?
@NEETzsche @icedquinn
Well, they did skip the training once because of girl power in EP 7, but that was for an artificially created being with super-aptitude, and they also added an excuse. (although, a horrible one)
But in this case, Ahsoka just said, that the aptitude doesn't matter.... And that is kinda the last step to "anyone can be a jedi any time, nothing required"
@NEETzsche @icedquinn
Yeah...
I am almost happy I didn't finish the university, just because I see, how fast is the title losing it's prestiege.
@NEETzsche @icedquinn
Yeah, I played one game from the world of darkness, but from the little I've heard about the new releases of the franchise, it got fucked up HARD :D
That being said, I didn't go through it with Star Wars because, like I said, I never really got into it in the first place. The big ones I watched get corrupted were World of Darkness and Magic: the Gathering
