@dave
That is because le internet gigachad doesn't follow it with "do it cuz I said so".
@PunishedD @dave
And I hope you will be able to hold longer with your kids.
@PunishedD @dave
I'm not sure about that.
As someone who had the fortune of "3 parents", I can clearly see, that one of them was a fucking moral failure from the beginning, while the other two did their absolute best.
So, I'm sure you will be able to rise your kid well too, if you care.
@PunishedD @eidolon @dave
You have now jumped from: "clean your room because your friends will judge you" to quantum physics... I think you missed the point of my comment.
@PunishedD @eidolon @dave
Also, yes, some parents do have an authority. But they do have it, because they can earn it by their every day actions. If they cannot explain why cleaning your room is a good thing though, then I have no empathy for them once their kid loses the last spec of respect they used to feel towards them.
It is their fucking job after all.
@PunishedD @eidolon @dave
And yes, I was one of the kids, who used to have "problems with authority". How could you tell ![]()
@PunishedD @eidolon @dave
Yes, all kids are dumb little shits. Who would have thought.
That isn't an excuse for bad parenting though, and if the only authority you can think of is "they bought my food", then guess what? That authority is gone now.
@PunishedD @eidolon @dave
Well, I am talking about my opinion, that resulting to "parental authority" (meaning listen or you will die) is a temporary solution, that will give you the action today, but will fuck up the kids entire life instead.
And I know, that most parents are too stupid to see it. They can be well meaning, but that doesn't matter 20 years later.
@PunishedD @eidolon @dave
And stop assuming everyone has loving parents. I could say that it's privileged, abelist or some shit, but the true problem with this assumption is, that it's actually seriously retarded.
