So, what you're saying is, that Titanic is even worse when I thought, but I missed it?
@LukeAlmighty I just think it's boring and I am not a fan of DiCaprio's and "a typical Hollywood lady who keeps her mouth open for 80% of screentime" acting, but seething about things like "that piece of wood was enough for two" just reads as "I am a retard who doesn't know about buoyancy"
@tomie "that wood was enough for two"
Yeah, that's retarded..... but:

Yeah, she killed him here. (I might be wrong tough, since I haven't seen it in years, but this seems to me, like there WOULD be enough space on wood, if she was on a boat.)
@LukeAlmighty no she didn't, and in fact, this thing right here is what allowed Jack to live for a bit longer when Rose literally risked her life to save his when he was handcuffed by Mr. "totally not an abusive psychopath" to a pipe and left to die
and buoyancy is still a thing, even if there's enough space this doesn't mean that the thing could hold enough weight
@tomie
I am not arguing about the plank.
Ice water isn't something, you can negotiate around. If it was a bit more submerged, she would freeze a bit more = death. Simple as.
Jack didn't die because he couldn't swim, he died of hypothermia.
@LukeAlmighty I get your point, and maybe if he was alone he could just get splattered across that door or w/e but the worst case scenario was that the plank couldn't hold his weight even if he was alone anyway
but yeah, due to that entire "got handcuffed and left to die" there's no possible scenario of him getting into water alone, he would've drowned by that point
@LukeAlmighty although tbh I don't remember whether that entire sequence was before or after that moment, I have also watched this movie a long time ago
@tomie
damn, I seriously don't remember that movie enough to critique it right now.
And I won't watch it alone just for the internet points
@LukeAlmighty I just hate seeing absolutely bottom-tier criticism of this move on my TL over and over
take that popular post "hurr durr, why did she remember a rando and not her husband", like bro, first of all survivors of a tragedy tend to remember the tragedy pretty vividly; and second she was specifically called and asked to remember wtf has happened to a gem she received from Mr. Psychopath as a gift, nobody there gave a shit about her lifetime husband
@tomie
Don't worry. There are still people out there hating on the Jedi for not leaving weapons of mass destruction (force sensitive kids) with their parents.
Some people are just that retarded.
