Meanwhile, all my dad did was to try being as open and accepting about our boundries. And I nor my sister ever felt the need to hide things from him or to "rebel" as abusive boomers tend to say.
Instead, I trust his advice completely.

@LukeAlmighty my parents took my two youngest siblings to some emergency preparedness thing, where they were all at a big warehouse sleeping on cots. they all got woken up in the middle of the night because of a staged shooting and my sister got separated and freaked out.
i mean yes, stuff like this is effective just as any other scare tactic is, but it's not like it doesn't do some damage at the same time.
