Stellar blade has THE worst parkour controls I have seen so far, and if that wasn|t enough, the map design is so horrible, even the yellow paint cannot save it.
So far, the rest is ok, but this is such a horrible trend, and this game hits this combo spot on.
@WhitestTemplar
The dodge button is the same as spring button, so, when you have a small jump to make, I intuitively press sprint, it makes a dodge, refusees to jump right after it, and I just drop down the small hole.
@WhitestTemplar
But more importantly, I have a huge problem these days with games having ultra/realistic graphics, but in reality, just insanely confusing mesh of blurs that you cannot see the game through, I wrote about it several times in here already, but this picture should cover what I mean.
@WhitestTemplar
That used to be the solution before Assassins creed, but the "eagle vision" fucked it all up completely, when devs realized, that players don|t actually have to recognize their environment, because they can use an alternative vision for game elements only instead.
@WhitestTemplar
It was an understandable and kinda balanced solution to having individual targets in a crowd of NPCs. But now, it|s literally used for every possible gameplay element.
@WhitestTemplar @LukeAlmighty the one I REALLY do not understand is lens flare when the game is in first person lmao how does that make any sense at all? I also really do not like the rise of chromatic aberration, really glad you can turn it off in most games. We still have to deal with shit like TAA or FXAA for anti aliasing, but at least some games have DLAA now which is far superior, though still not as good as MSAA was. I fucking miss that shit man.
@LukeAlmighty I didn't get to play the game for very long but yeah you know your game's mapping is complete ass when you have not only yellow paint EVERYWHERE but also a scanner that straight up tells you where to go lol. I like the combat though, that's pretty fun, and the game at least looks pretty too. Definitely a solid title from a studio who has never made a legitimate video game.
