Wait... People are unironically living paycheck to paycheck?
It just never weighted on me, ever since I started an actual job, that people do live like that.

We have a lot of that in the US
A lot of people live like that in Japan too.
That's why I'm working to get out of the wage trap.
When I had a job I was saving money within like 2 months; but also like the economy is clearly designed to try its hardest to not allow that, if you added student loans to that, I never would've broke even. Im not sure ill ever be employed again under this era of politics, the "entry level masters" is about making wage slaves.
Its only getting worse. Theres videos of people living out of cars who clearly have been there for months and lost shame about it.
If we all fail, then theres no need to feel shame about it. Take the dole, hoard like its the great depression, have back up plans.

This post is not to brag. It is to acknowledge, that I seriously had no idea how bad things are. An acquaintance just said, he cannot join, because "his paycheck didn't come in yet".
