@LukeAlmighty I know your a exercise guy. How good is jump rope at calorie loss / exercise.

It's my favorite type of exercise so I was wondering how good or bad it is if I do it for longer then most of the other exercises I do / Incorporated more into my workout routine.

First, I am a fat fuck who only managed to lose some weight once. That is hardly considered being an exercise guy :D

Now, to the jumping rope. You are lifting your entire weight, even though just slightly. That is a great base. You didn't mention just how long do you actually jump, or, what is your goal though.

I believe, that is still should raise your basal metabolic rate, therefore make you more active during the day. That is the most important metric for most of your life. But, you cannot burn off fat (on mass) using cardio. You do that only either through hunger or from excersises, that you can do for hours a day. (Walking for example)

Either way, as long as you feel more alive during the day, that is the most important metric in the end, unless your goal is to lose weight.

@LukeAlmighty I normally do jump rope for like 20 mins and I want to do it for 40 or longer.

I've been losing weight slowly from me not eating as much / eating healthy and walking for like 30 mins. Wanted to just lose weight a little faster.

@Mr_NutterButter
20 minutes of an excersise that intensive is amazing already.

Wow. :D
And yes, having fun is literally the most important part, since you cannot possibly lose weight doing something that makes you quit after a week .D

@LukeAlmighty I also hated those other cardio exercises so I wanted to know if I could just do straight jumping rope but for longer I would have a similar effect I'm not looking to gain muscle I'm just looking to lose weight.
