Just watched the new Resident Evil movie.
I loved every second of it. And I am not even so big fan of the horror genre to begin with. Absolutely hilarious, while also still scary and thrilling a good amont.
And don't let yourself get swayed away by the fact, that it's not following any of the game characters, and it's following a total soy boy instead. Trust me, it is a great trade for what it allowed them to do in the story.
Only thing I remember from the previous ones is Milla Jovovich shouting "pussy shot!" in the commentary track during a pussy shot.
@LukeAlmighty man I guess I just don't like fun lol. I don't usually like horror movies though tbf. Not because of the genre but just because they usually feel forced and I can't suspend my disbelief enough.

Yeah, I hate horrors too. The jumpscares are usually insanely pharahraphed, forced, and I rarely care about the characters.
Yet, somehow, I was filly immersed in this one for most of the time.
@LukeAlmighty well I'm glad you liked it. I liked it for the most part too, I think my main problem was just that it tried to be a little bit too funny and I got some shades of marvel humor in there.

Fair enough, although, 90% of humor did hold to the "characters have no idea they're in a commedy" rule.
