It's mostly people on the right who are saying "don't let this make you hate people, they are just trying to divide us, etc" as if that is not the exact thing we have been trying to aim for this whole time. Look where it has gotten us. Regardless of who Charlie's killer is or what their motive was, the left especially is beaming, excited over the moon that it happened. "They" aren't trying to divide us. We are already divided and that divide is going to keep on widening. No amount of just talking to people is going to help, clearly. We are past that point.

You can no longer just assume that these subhumans are friendly or just misguided. I did used to genuinely feel bad for people that had been brainwashed. Not anymore. If they think it would be fine that I were killed because I'm not in lockstep with everything they believe, then I no longer feel any kind of sympathy for them when violence inevitably affects them too.

There is no "fixing the divide" if only one side is attempting it, so there is absolutely no point in trying.

@beardalaxy The right cling to the false hope. I do to. Not because I don't want to give in but because we all know what we have to do.

It's the age-old belief that the right sees the left as misguided and the left sees the right at evil.

I think it's time we start doing the same.

We should always have the will to come to the table to settle things diplomatically when we have the option but when you give us no option we will take action. These are not people these are mentally ill demons.

They are demonic.
