I do have a copy of the movie and they weren't lying it's in full HD.

I'm going to do the ethical thing which is watch the movie not to leak any spoilers about the ending or plot and buy merchandise or the movie when it officially releases.

because I'm such a huge fan of this franchise. Cuz I want them to make more movies and shows in this universe!

@Mr_NutterButter franchise? universe? there was the Avatar series about 20 years ago and absolutely nothing else: no comics and absolutely no sequel

@tomie There were comics and even independent stories and novels written / released.

They're just not marketed at all.

They used to drop a comic once a year or some random collection of novels about characters in the universe or past avatars every now and then.

But

Ever since they decided to reboot the franchise there hasn't really been anything out for like 5 years.

And yes because they weren't marketed it basically was nothing for 20 years for most people but technically for the super dedicated fans there was something even if it was drip fed for a decade.

Also there was another series it was legend of Korra. Throw that serious was absolutely terrible and bombed the franchise into Oblivion until the original series got released on Netflix and absolutely destroyed in numbers that they wanted to bring it back to milk it for more money.
