That's kinda my point, no one does server maintenance or replacement for a whole week. You'd have to be extremely incompetent at this. And they've been working on gab for years now. You'd think they've learned a thing or two in all this time. We're literally at a point where Occam's razor would point towards they ran away with money.
@alyx @niggaflamebuttholeaids @SteveTheDragon the blog post suggest they are doing development on their production server while it’s down, while supposedly migrating. The amount of time it’s been down is majorly fishy. The level of incompetence involved is pretty baffling for a supposed million dollar company.

@lucky @a7 @SteveTheDragon @alyx They marketed it as a big rebrand by switching from a twitter clone to a facebook clone, so they want to sell the idea that a ton of people have come back.
The truth is their new FE just runs like ass.

Facebook clone as in similar features. I don't think they're going with the "you need to put your real name".
