Oh nice. SD cards came in, so I can now stuff things like the offline Wikipedia archive on that and keep it on a tablet next to open street maps.

Why? Also, I know I've looked into this before, wouldn't a comprehensive offline wikipedia be huge in size? Does it even fit on a SD card?
@alyx 50-70gb for a kiwix archive, which fits comfy on a 256gb card.

I see. The cards I have laying around are 64gb max, since the old ass phones I have laying around usually don't accept anything bigger than 32gb. Only one of them takes 64gb, and I don't use them for much else.

@alyx i think what i would prefer is a selection of ebooks from libgen that have been de-spined and shoved in a kiwix archive. but those are kind of weird because they're not legal to distribute
