There are media shills at work lying and smearing the protesters as being various -ists and -phobes, while the police's own media shills justify their murder of an elderly woman by lying about it. The act which enables this brutality was passed to suppress a peaceful protest, in what amounted to a glorified temper tantrum by the government, whose will is being carried by worthless golems with a fetish for violence. These people would rather kill every single protester, peaceful or otherwise, than even consider speaking to one of them for even a millisecond. No amount of principles, morality, niceness or anything of the sort will stop them because liberals are monsters who hate you and want you dead for not thanking them when they fuck you. It follows then that any and all measures which can be used to stop them are equally valid, up to and including bringing kids to the protest. Even if they hadn't the social media shills would just make something up. All that matters is winning, because if they don't win they're already dead or worse. They'll be arrested, bank accounts frozen, the kids will be taken away from them. Thinking about morality doesn't matter when your enemy is fundamentally immoral, and moreover will use your morals against you.

If you want to prevent kids from attending protests, which is reasonable enough, you must first deal with the people enforcing their morality (senseless violence against peaceful protesters) on you and yours.
As for your distinction between liberal and leftist, it doesn't matter. Liberalism is a catchall for managerialism, governments run by HR types and people with fake make-work jobs, which are largely supported by both "classical" leftists like communists and generic "pro-democracy, pro-free market" types. It doesn't matter what you call them or what they call themselves, what they are is enemies of their nation and of humanity more broadly. Anyone who genuinely cares about personal liberties and political freedoms will be smeared as "far-right" nowadays.

Of course not. If one wins, his goal should be to purge his opposition and then implement his views. He will have an easy time with it because his opposition is busy fertilizing the fields or too far away to influence political affairs.
Bear in mind that the views here are "please let us make our own medical decisions, we're adults" and "governments shouldn't be allowed to rule by decree with the excuse of stopping one single SARS Influenza virus, which you've also failed to do".
Only three kinds of people would oppose these views, which are people whose worldview is colored by the media (which will support you once you control the media), empty-shell enforcers (who will support you if you're paying them) and the kind of people who genuinely believe that, yes, it is reasonable to turn the world into a security state to allegedly stop a singular virus (liberals). @alyx You are working under the impression that there are rules or any sort of legal process here. That if you just act so moral and keep protesting that one day things will just magically sort themselves out. At no point in history has that ever become true. Every revolution, even the more 'peaceful' ones involved force in some way and a subsequent persecution of state enemies which could not be integrated into the new state. In France, thirty consecutive weeks of protests against internal passports (or "health passes" if you want to use a euphemism to mystify them) have not produced any meaningful result. The protesters go in, the gendarmes maul them with dogs and riot gear, then they do it all again next week, rinse and repeat in various major nations' capitals. What we learn is that the ones in power only listen to - and therefore can only be appealed to - with dirty tactics and force.
Are you a libertarian? If you are, my advice is that you eagerly embrace the liberal side. The place for "free market" supporters, at this point, is with the managerial state and its corporate allies (or masters, depending on how you see it)

I can justify my opinions on what needs to be done because Canada is an actual literal prison state which prevents the people the government openly hates from leaving for a place which doesn't, which has run down eight of the ten stages of genocide on parts of its own civilian population in order to coerce them to inject a medical product which offers little-to-no benefit and has demonstrably caused harm. It doesn't take being a scientist to understand said product's mechanism of work and how it can cause harm, either.
The truckers do, in fact, need to win. They need to win because if they don't they are all arrested then they will have their lives arbitrarily ruined to satisfy the childish temper tantrums of the bureaucrats whose enforcers are suppressing them on the streets as we speak, and lying about their actions in the field on social media, whilst being cheered by masses of evil TV watching monsters.
