I probably listened to about 99% of all Timcast episodes. Can confirm it's not that great. It's not some intellectual heavy hitter that will change the world. They're basically a bunch of low level punks that occasionally invite someone who is actually smarter then them, to discuss current events, only to be distracted by graphene.

Mostly why I follow it too. And sometimes it is worth it. But other times, not so much, and they end up talking past each other and it can get frustrating. The somewhat recent Daryl Davis episode is a good example. He surprisingly came out in defense of critical race theory, and Tim was desperately trying to explain why CRT is bad and was failing miserably.
Tim constantly complains that leftists won't come on his show to have a conversation, but honestly I don't think he would be capable to challenge someone he disagrees with on their beliefs. I'm honestly starting to think they're fools for not taking up the chance to overwhelm Tim on his own show.
As for Ian, he's the comedy relief. Someone like him is definitely needed there. At the beginning there was hipster Jesus (can't remember his name), now there's Ian.
But my favorite duo shall forever be Tim Pool + Luke Rudkowski.

Just saw the Matt Walsh doc an hour ago, so I definitely know what you mean.

That's like saying Hitler was just trying to shelter Jews.
@alyx Yea I did watch most of the Davis one. That was a great example of “never meet your heroes.” I’m not going to fault him on reparations since that’s pretty contested within black conservative communities (I personally think it’s a terrible an untenable idea), but he did go on about stuff that showed how we was able to befriend and get along with KKK members: he was a lot like them.
He did have a far left person on a few weeks ago. I can’t remember his name, but it got pretty heated, but was also kinda annoying.
I think Matt Walsh is really the best. In his documentary, he only asked questions and gave people plenty or room to hang themselves. He was never disrespectful. He was never rude. He never talked past people. His editor rarely event cut any of the pauses or responses; especially when he wanted to make it clear when and why the interviewee decided to kill the conversation.
I’m convinced Ian is only still on the show because he grows all their weed.
