You probably misunderstand what a hipster is. Liking random old or nieche things is not what makes a hipster. Making old and nieche things your way of life is what makes a hipster.
Example: I like Half-Life 1, but that doesn't make me a hipster because I also like and enjoy new HL games and many other games.
But if someone only plays HL1 and mods, and refuses to play any newer games claiming they are all not good enough, that's a hipster.

@alyx @wgiwf @YeetLibs my idea of what a hipster is is someone who doesn't like anything that is popular and goes out of their way to like things that are not popular, even if they would normally like that thing. hipsters think that liking popular things makes you lame and that it's cool to like things that aren't popular.

half life 1 is still pretty damn popular. i can see people not liking it just because of that. a hipster, in my eyes, would hate half life but be like "actually, hunt down the freeman is genius, you just don't get it, you're all boomers that just like half life because of the nostalgia." idk some shit like that.
