There is no long term research on this insanity. There is no long term research on the effects of long term use of puberty blockers. The drugs themselves were only meant to be used on short term, and even in those cases we already know they can have long term negative side effects.

And we have more than enough studies on gender dysphoria in children, that show that anywhere between 50-90% of children diagnosed with gender dysphoria actually grow OUT OF IT once they pass puberty.
And it shouldn't take a rocket scientists to figure out that if you put a stop to puberty, those 50-90% of children will never get cured via that natural process, and are likely to be put through extra hormone treatments that they wouldn't have needed otherwise, leading them to a life of needless extra struggle and misery.

@alyx @rimugu interesting that research that supports your opinion is real research but research that doesn't is fake/doesn't exist.

@animeirl @rimugu
Because it doesn't exist. You can't have long term research on puberty blockers because puberty blockers haven't been used on long term on children until this trend of transitioning (abusing) children has begun a few years ago.

@alyx @rimugu there is research in the topic going back to the late 90s so it's not like this is a complete unknown
@alyx @rimugu it shouldn't be used more than a couple years but people undergoing psychiatric evaluation generally get that worked out within a year or so

@animeirl @rimugu
>it shouldn't be used more than a couple years
That's the short term use I referenced already. But for "trans" children, what people effectively are advocating for is to feed this stuff to children for close to a decade, until they grow into an adult, so they can go on with the rest of the transitioning treatment. That's long term use. And you don't have studies on that, because these drugs have never been used in this way before.

@alyx @rimugu all the standards of care ive read suggest avoiding usage for more than a couple years so I'm not sure what you're referring to. I definitely agree people shouldn't be on them for a decade. If someone still is unsure whether they want to medically transition after a couple years they probably should not

@animeirl @rimugu
Because standards of care is definitely what is going on IRL. /sarcasm

Take a good look around you, YOU FUCKING IMBECILE, people are given HRT after a single consultation ALL THE FRICKING TIME. THERE IS NO STANDARD OF CARE IRL. And trans advocates CONSTANTLY AND CONSISTENTLY claim that children as low as 1-3 years of age can be "trans". Which means, that as soon as they get close to the age of puberty, at ~10 years, they want those children on puberty blockers. That gives them at the very least 8 years of taking that crap, until they reach they age of maturity, and they're legally allowed to proceed with the rest of the transgender treatment, meaning hormone suppressors and hormone replaces.

Everything you said has been so SEVERELY uninformed and stupid, that I can only assume you're a troll.
Whether I am correct in this assumption or not, I insist that you NEVER talk to me EVER AGAIN. I have no place in my life for someone who is this evil as yourself.
LEAVE CHILDREN OUT OF YOUR FUCKING DISGUSTING IDEOLOGY.

@alyx @rimugu people start hormone therapy before 18 so they are only blocking puberty for a short time if they decide to proceed. Obviously this should be done under medical and psychiatric supervision so I am against "informed consent" practices in children but to demand all cross sex treatment in children be banned is child abuse

@animeirl @rimugu
>people start hormone therapy before 18
That's literally ILLEGAL. So if you know such cases, you are aiding and protecting criminals by not reporting.

>so I am against "informed consent" practices in children
So you really are a groomer then.... I don't see how else I can interpret this.

>but to demand all cross sex treatment in children be banned is child abuse
Funny, puberty blockers aren't even actual part of proper gender/sex transitioning, but it's good to see what your end goal actually is.

@alyx @rimugu

> That's literally ILLEGAL
it might be illegal in your state, it isn't everywhere.

> So you really are a groomer then.... I don't see how else I can interpret this.

Seems you can't read since I am literally advocating for more restrictions on puberty blockers/hrt than currently exist

> Funny, puberty blockers aren't even actual part of proper gender/sex transitioning, but it's good to see what your end goal actually is.

So you think kids should immediately be put on cross sex hormone treatment instead? Because that's less reversible than puberty blockers....

@animeirl @rimugu
>Seems you can't read since I am literally advocating for more restrictions on puberty blockers/hrt than currently exist

WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT, YOU FUCKING LIAR!!

I will NOT stand here to be gaslight by the likes of you! You DISGUSTING, FILTHY MANIPULATIVE LIAR!

I made my position more than clear, and then you INSINUATE that I want to put children on sex hormones, when YOU'RE that one that literally think it's ok for children below 18 to be given that crap, when YOU'RE the one that sees no issue with that, when YOU'RE LITERALLY the one that thinks children won't be on puberty blockers for long, cause they'll advance to HRT treatment fast enough to where long term studies on puberty blockers are not needed. HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!

I have met many horrible people, BUT NONE AS EVIL AS YOU.

@alyx @rimugu you seem legitimately insane. You should get some informed consent seroquel
@animeirl @alyx @rimugu I dont know how restricting of hormones is considered healthy, should the focus be on people accepting thier gender rather than chainging it
@animeirl @alyx @rimugu its like cutting off a limb because the idea that it could be broken is to horrible to consider, then living life seeing everyone with 2 limbs and slowly realizing you fucked yourself because no one actually helped you understand having 2 limbs was normal

@MasterSimper @rimugu @animeirl
Right now I just want this disgusting crap away from children, but in the long term, we really need to rethink our approach to treating this. It's literally the only mental disorder where the treatment involves telling the patient their train of thought, caused by a poorly understood brain misfiring, is correct.
We don't treat schizophrenia by telling the patients that the bugs in their walls really are alien robots sent to collect their hair.

Why the mainstream is so convinced that "affirming gender" is the only correct way to go, is beyond me.

@animeirl @rimugu @MasterSimper
That's rich coming from a liar like you. I guess I should take it as a compliment.

@alyx @rimugu @MasterSimper you didn't even know what informed consent meant you have zero understanding of the topic. go take your meds

@animeirl @rimugu @MasterSimper
You didn't even try to argue "you're wrong, this is what informed consent actually is", but nice try, but FUCK OFF YOU DISGUSTING GASLIGHTING GROOMING LIAR!

Show newer
@animeirl @alyx @rimugu that is true that im heavily uninformed but the trannies arent dying in a glorious attempt in trying to achieve thier goals they are killing themselves because they still have the underlying mental health issue. I would understand if the gender dysphoria pt was suicidal and that perhaps the attempt to try a gender change may help them but as it is now, these treatments are killing patients.

@animeirl @alyx @rimugu Not on puberty blockers, and all the research that exists is either unusable or shows they don't have an effect on alleviating dysphoria

@matrix @alyx @rimugu theres def research showing it reduces dysphoria idk what you're talking about

@animeirl @alyx @rimugu I'm talking about papers like this one. This one is blatantly unusable and yet it was published with findings "60% lower odds of moderate or severe depression and 73% lower odds of suicidality over a 12-month follow-up".

The fact that it was published also proves bias.
