In other news, I just thought of an idea for one of these media review sites. Because brigading and generally poor thought out reviews usually come with either a 1 ⭐ or 10 ⭐ attached, just ignore these reviews when doing the average. Only add in those reviews to the average when the 2⭐ or 9⭐ ratings exceed a certain proportion.

If a movie has a large proportion of 9⭐ ratings, then it's likely good, so the 10⭐ reviews are likely legitimate too, so they should be included in the average. But say it has a large proportion of 5-6⭐, barely any 9⭐, and more 10⭐ than all the others combined, you know that's gonna be brigading, and because they're not representative of the product, you shouldn't include them when doing the final score.
