@j the ukraine sympathizers NEVER bring up NATO, it's wild to me. all they had to do was NOT JOIN NATO and russia never would not be attacking. that was the whole genesis of the war.

I'm not sure they qualify as Ukraine sympathizers. I see them more as NATO/EU apologists. I expect Ukraine/Ukrainian sympathizers to actually care for the people, the individual human beings, first and foremost, and to come to the realizations that living under Russia is still better than dying.
I do sympathize for actual Ukrainians, and if they want to be independent, I think they should be. But right now, this war is lost. You need to know when to pick your battles and when it's time to surrender. God knows my own people struggled for independence and unity under a single flag for well over a millennia. Ukraine could still get this one day, but today ain't it chief.
@alyx @j they had their independence, but zelensky is a literal joke and is ruining it :P they would still have all their territory otherwise.
