I hate myself. I did everything I could but it wasn't good enough. The baby mouse was dead when I woke up, it had crawled out from under it's blanket and died in the open air. I'm sad. And angry. At god. For his mockeries.

@Jazzy_Butts Oh no... it must have been very hard for it to adjust to such a sudden change... you tried your best so it isn't something to beat yourself up about, even though it is sad. I am sure if the baby mouse could speak it would have been very appreciative
@arc It could have been a wildlife ambassador, but noooooo people don't care about mice.
@arc I looked up pics and realize now it was still nursing, I saw a photo of them nursing behind their mother online and it was the exact stage of development mine was at. Eyes open, fur, clumsy movement, animal rehab centers are underfunded and frankly rarely worth calling unless it's a specifically good one. Most will just say the best they can do for a little deer mouse is euthanize it. Like HELLO, maybe try NURSING it??? People seriously disrespect small, common animals. It's like if there's only a few of you wow you matter but if there's tons of beings that look just like you people treat you as disposable.
