After going through and playing some old games the past month I kind of regret selling half my physical stuff a few years ago, but I really needed the money. At least I can use a flash cart or soft mods to still play on original consoles, which is fine by me. But a cart of my favorite games here or there is fun to have.
That being said Japanese versions can be an option, some of them are half or quarter price of US versions, or even less. If it isn't an RPG you don't really need to know Japanese. And there's no way I'm going to pay $300 for US Mega Man X3
@arc that's what made the retron 5 really cool, I could buy Japanese SNES games and then patch over them with either the English rom or a translation. But I still had the physical cart.
