@ArdainianRight @cee @xianc78 @paprika when japan does that stuff it's usually for like, lewd comedy or it's done actually really well to the point where it isn't just blatant pandering. that's the key difference. at the end of the day i don't really care if a character is gay or trans or whatever unless that's actually just their only defining character trait or it's tacked on to an existing character.
