This was 20+ years ago. It just feels like drug pushing. I mean, you can talk to your kid about drugs like heroin, I guess at 12? But if HRT is given by authority figures at ages like 10 you're really fucked as a parent. Imagine being those parents and just wondering why your girl is 12-13 and has no tits at all and no period
@Corfiot @ChristiJunior @matrix @Sp @sandy because parents don't give a shit about their kids' actual wellbeing and measure how good of a kid they are by their grades and accolades because they feel like they didn't make the most of their childhood and want to live vicariously through them
these people do exist but any parent will notice their child being years behind its peers in development, was my point.
and when they notice it's already too late, no matter how "reversible" these things people claim to be.
@Corfiot @Sp @sandy @ChristiJunior @matrix oh yeah I know it is a generalization, but I just see it happening very often. A lot of parents don't take a very active role in their child's development and let teachers and the internet (or back in the day, tv) influence them instead.
Oh the way things might have been different if my parents didn't just ground me from my phone for a week when they caught me sexting girls over and over again instead of getting me help. There's a lot of pride involved too, like you don't want people to find out your kid has issues because then it reflects on you and makes you seem like a bad parent or something... But that's just a huge disservice to the kid. A lot of parents just want their kids to be trophies of how good of people they are.
