Bad video game mechanic: have enemies continuously spawn when you look at the spawning zone.
Result: you either run out of ammo and get overwhelmed by enemies, or you complete the task required by the quest while looking at the floor.

Other than that, I had a great time playing Remnant: From the Ashes.
Great souls-like shooter, with in build replayability, lots of weapons, lots of mods, lots of upgrades, lots of potential builds, including melee. You can even find a Ornstein & Smough boss battle.
What this game stands apart with though is that the world map is procedurally generated, and even the bosses that you can encounter in your playthrough will be random. But you can reroll your campaign at any time without loosing items/levels or you can reroll a single adventure area that you access separately from your main campaign.
Very accessible to newbies on normal difficulty, but also comes with hard, nightmare and apocalypse difficulties + co-op if that's your thing.

@alyx have you seen witchfire? Looks like it might have that same kind of vibe

@beardalaxy
Saw it. Witchfire seems even more epic than Remnant though. Witchfire gives me a strong Doom vibe, while Remnant gave me a Dead Space vibe at times.
